The MSA Latchways PRD with EVOTECH Harness 10176307 combines a certified full-body harness with an integrated emergency descent device, creating a compact and highly effective solution for workers operating at height.

Following a fall arrest event, an uninjured worker can activate the system and descend safely to the ground without waiting for external rescue teams. The integrated R20 descender automatically controls the descent speed, helping ensure a smooth and predictable evacuation while reducing the risk of panic or improper operation.

The system includes 20 meters (65 ft) of high-performance descent line constructed with a UHMWPE core and flame-retardant aramid overbraid, providing excellent strength, durability, and heat resistance. Descent speed is automatically regulated between 1.25 m/s (4.1 ft/s) and the maximum safe operating limit.

The included EVOTECH RH2 harness features premium polyester webbing, quick-connect leg buckles, lightweight aluminum adjustment hardware, and integrated impact indicators that provide a visual indication if the harness has experienced a fall arrest event.

A key safety advantage is the dual-activation rescue system. The worker can initiate self-rescue using a shoulder-mounted release cord, while a rescuer can activate the descent remotely using the visible rescue loop or an optional PRD Rescue Pole if the worker is unconscious or incapacitated.

Designed for demanding industrial environments, the PRD operates from -20°C to +60°C, features IP56 water-resistant sealing, and supports users weighing 130–310 lbs (59–140 kg).

Certified to ANSI Z359.11, CSA, EN 361:2002, and EN 341:2011 Type 1 Class D, the MSA Latchways PRD is ideal for construction, utilities, telecommunications, wind energy, oil & gas, manufacturing, and industrial maintenance where rapid self-rescue capability is critical.
