Designed with a 30 ft (9 m) galvanized steel lifeline, this self-retracting lifeline provides excellent durability and dependable fall arrest performance for overhead anchorage systems. Unlike the stainless steel model, this version utilizes a high-strength impact-modified nylon housing, making the unit more than 50% lighter while maintaining the rugged durability required for demanding job sites.

The SRL incorporates MSA's proven Constant Force® energy absorption technology, which helps reduce fall arrest forces without relying on conventional external energy absorbers. The patented Full Contact™ positive locking mechanism ensures rapid and consistent engagement during a fall, helping minimize free-fall distance and enhancing worker safety.

The internal mechanism is constructed from stainless steel components, including the pawl, ratchet, motor spring, and chassis, providing long-term reliability and corrosion resistance. A visual-indicating steel snaphook allows for easier post-fall inspection, while the steel carabiner provides a secure connection to approved overhead anchorage points.
